“Words and magic were in the beginning one and the same thing, and even today words retain much of their magical power.”
― Sigmund Freud, Introductory Lectures on Psychoanalysis
I see patients in individual psychotherapy. I work with a variety of issues ranging from depression, sadness, anxiety, grief, work-related issues, parenting related difficulties, and intimacy related concerns to more complex issues such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders and trauma related symptoms.
I work best with those who are interested in making lasting changes in their inner lives and circumstances. In my practice, I provide you with a place to speak freely, so that through this singular experience of speaking you can articulate and assume responsibility for your desire.
As a Lacanian psychoanalyst, I see patients in psychoanalysis. If you are interested in exploring the option of analysis, we will meet for a few preliminary sessions in order to establish the modality and to ascertain whether this is a good fit for what you are looking for. For more information, please go to the Lacanian Psychoanalysis tab above.
I provide analytic consultation to businesses, unions, parents, organizations, executives interested in promoting their management skills, and clinicians who provide psychotherapy, psychoanalysis and case management. If you would like further information on my consultation services, please call me at (510) 295-4711.
I provide clinical supervision to pre and post licensed clinicians, and serve as a supervising psychoanalyst to analytic candidates in formation. If you are interested in receiving supervision from me, please contact me at (510) 295-4711.
I lecture and give workshops globally on a wide variety of topics relating to my research work on digital technologies, psychoanalysis, ecopsychology and radical politics. If you are interested in having me come and speak to your conference, symposium, organization, group or class please see my Public Interventions tab above and call me at (510) 295-4711.
